Deng MAKUER Diing was born in 1989 in Ethiopia, near the Sudanese border town of Panyidu (Bilpham). This was an area occupied by the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), which was fighting for the freedom of the people of South Sudan. During the 1991 coup d'état in Ethiopia, they were displaced by Ethiopian rebels who were supported by the Sudanese government, his father Makuer Diing the then commander of Zalaan Died during the SPLA battle in Blue Nile against the Khartoum Regime the same year. As a young boy, him and the Mother plus his younger Sister were displaced back to South Sudan and grew up in a deep village just outside of Rumbek Town in Lakes State. In 1997, after the SPLA successfully captured Rumbek Town from the Sudanese government, they moved to town with his grandmother and grandfather, who had raised him in the village for seven years. In 2000, he went to Uganda to reunite with his mother and other siblings. He eventually joined school in Arua Primary School then to Mvara SS and Moved to Kakungulu Memorial Sch. in Kampala till until 2011, when he finally returned to Juba. he completed his undergraduate degree in computer science at the University of Juba in 2017 and MBA in project management in 2022. He now work as a communications and visibility specialist at the Ministry of Health in South Sudan. He also run his own private companies in Juba. He is blessed with two beautiful children, a boy and a girl and soon expecting a new member of the family in February 2024.
